Meditation is a part of every yoga class that we are offering. In the beginning of every class, to tune into your body and we close every class with deep relaxation in shavasana. But meditation has so much to offer to our body, minds and souls that I have decided to widen the service to support this so deeply nourishing practice a bit more.
We can emphasis the effect of a yoga class, depending on how we design the sequences. They can be very calming, when we emphasize the asanas that calm our nerval system and release tension our bodies. This is a more Yang-Style class.
In the yogic tradition the life energy is called prana. And in the practice of yoga there is a whole branch that is taking care of cultivating our prana – the so called pranayama. Practicing Pranayama is a wellness tool that will support us as well to navigate with more ease through or every day challenges.
Taking care of a healthy lifestyle is not luxury. It is understanding what really counts in life. Therefore it is very useful to bring our focus on this topic, to improve our health, to support our body to be the healthiest and most vital version of itself.
